Can you still find joy in creating?
I think so. It all depends on what one wants to achieve as the end result. For me, creation is an end in itself—it brings calm and offers perspective on various matters. As a result, works emerge that often decorate my home or clothes.
I have been applying this approach to art to myself for over six years. Now, I am spreading this philosophy by running art workshops. With children and youth, I introduce techniques that go far beyond basic art education, such as linocut. I try to ensure that the classes—though ambitious—are always uplifting. We don’t focus solely on the final outcome, but above all, on the process.
I believe this is the core value of art in human life—bringing comfort to everyday living.
