An oil painting on the rough texture of burlap, depicts the cross-section of a pepper-like vegetable in a tight, macroscopic frame. The composition divides into two main parts: a lower, brighter section filled with a creamy-pink interior and a subtle touch of a green stem on the left, and an upper, darker section with deep shadows in burgundy and dark red. The lines are fluid and rounded, while the visible texture of the canvas and soft tonal transitions give the piece an organic, pulsating, and ambiguous feel.
